Let’s Get Murdercised!!!
If there’s anyone out there carrying the torch for the classic 80s slashers and doing it right, it’s Paul Ragsdale and Angelica De Alba, collectively known as A & P Productions. 2016’s Streets of Vengeance saw a group of bad-ass ladies band together to fight off a bunch of women-hating, incel douchebags; 2020’s Slashlorette Party combined the sorority house slasher with the cabin in the woods slasher and delivered the best of both worlds; and now they’re getting ready to do it again with Murdercise, bringing blood and guts to the sleazy workout video circuit. But they need your help, as independent film budgets don’t just grow on trees! Having already put together two very successful crowdfunding campaigns in the past, these two know what they’re doing, and this time they’re stepping up the perks and promising something truly special to fans of throwback horror.
For a basic plot description, look no further than the official Facebook page: “Phoebe is an obsessed fitness nerd who gets her big break working on a sleazy workout video. When the cover girl, Candy, goes missing, Phoebe seeks help from a mafia princess, Isabella, who teaches Phoebe how to kill her way to the top. ”
But that’s only telling part of the story. Straight from the Indiegogo page, they say the new film will be “a movie that combines spandex, leg warmers, finger-less gloves and murder!” They also name Killer Workout, Linnea Quigley’s Horror Workout, and Sleepaway Camp 2 as influences!
